In 1997 we became a Good Samaritan church.

This means we focus on our neighbors who are in some kind of crisis - physically, emotionally and/or spiritually.

It means we open our hearts and the doors of our facility to the poor and marginalized people of our city.

It means we love people.

OKCC was founded in an effort to do this in practical ways.

Dr. Richard Bond
After serving in churches in California, Kentucky and Kansas, Pastor Bond was called to serve Penn Avenue Church of the Nazarene in Oklahoma City. Soon after his arrival, he started OKC Compassion Inc. in an effort to reach the surrounding community. It's mission is simple: "Sharing the Gospel of Christ by showing COMPASSION to the disadvantaged...and encouraging others to do the same." He and his wife Sherry enjoy their family and have two grown children following in their footsteps. They also have two grandchildren that they love very much.

Joe Hall
Joe comes to OKC Compassion in a unique role along with his wife, Amy. He was recently ordained and has been involved in pastoral ministry for the last five years. Feeling called to missions, Joe found that God was calling him to move back to his hometown to serve the poor of Oklahoma City. His passion is connecting others to the need and opportunities present at OKC Compassion. He loves his wife, his little boy Sam and his two huge dogs, Buster and Brutus.

Amy Hall
Like her husband, Amy recently joined the staff at OKC Compassion and has responsibilities in the area of volunteer coordinating as well as many other important roles. She has significant experience in the social work field and finds OKC Compassion to be a place where she can use her gifts. She loves being a mom to Sam and living back in OKC with all of her family.
